Sugar Camp: Session (3)
Storytelling | June 22-26 | Ages 5-10
Available spots
Service Description
Join us at the Studio to explore Storytelling through devised theatre. Devised theatre, otherwise known as ‘collective creation,’ is a collaborative process where a theatre work is created from scratch. Through improvisation, puppet-building, and collaborative storytelling, campers will discover how ideas transform into performance. Over five days, they'll craft an original piece of theatre that blends movement, voice, and the expressive power of puppetry. Made for storytellers ages 5-10, our Storytelling Camp teaches collaboration, communication, and critical thinking in a creative, nurturing environment. Campers will create new stories and scenes with mask & puppet making, prop work, and immersive theater games. At the end of the week-long session Campers’ performances will be brought together to create an original Sugarwoods Short! Our camp offers a 5-to-1 camper/counselor ratio. We will provide healthy snacks in the morning and the afternoon. Campers will be asked to bring their own lunch, sunscreen, a change of clothes, and water bottle each day. Sugarwoods is an inclusive community welcoming humans of every kind! While we expect our campers to be kind & wild, we also expect that everyone at Sugarwoods be respectful. Sugarwoods is a nurturing environment where everybody can shine! For more information, please contact info@sugarwoods.org
